So, what exactly is Rule Sixty Two?

Rule Sixty Two is a place where friends meet up for some great food and entertainment... without the brace of intoxication.

Whether in recovery, sober-curious, or just looking for a break from the traditional bar scene, we're offering quality eats and slinging hand-crafted mocktails in a fun, welcoming, energetic atmosphere. In other words, "an alternative social scene."

What's with the name?

Rule Sixty Two is pulled from a story in the book "Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions." As the story goes, regulations for a new addiction treatment facility were being created by its founders when a series of disagreements led to an exhaustive list of 61 rules and guidelines. During the final review, one last message emerged from the group discussion which ultimately completed the list as the 62nd rule: "Don't take yourself so damn seriously."

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: WHILE OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES ARE ALIGNED WITH ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, RULE SIXTY TWO IS IN NO WAY AFFILIATED WITH, PROMOTING, OR SUPPORTED BY ACOLOHOLICS ANONYMOUS.

Is this part of the Rule Sixty Two Foundation?

YES.
The Rule Sixty Two Foundation owns and operates this establishment as our central hub. It exists as a vehicle to serve and support our community. Our mission for Rule Sixty Two Restaurant and Social Club is to become a launch-point for careers in the hospitality industry; a source of support and a force for good in our community; a place that contributes to the global movement of clean, healthy, and responsible social lives.

I'm not an addict.
Am I still welcome at Rule Sixty Two?

ABSOLUTELY!
We're open to the public and serve all walks of life. While substance abuse and recovery support are a big part of why we exist, that's not our sole identity.

The Rule Sixty Two founders saw a need in the community that wasn't currently being met; people want a social environment that doesn't revolve around alcohol. As recovering addicts and alcoholics, they know first-hand the challenges of "going out" while living in sobriety. But they also have friends and family who are "sober-curious" or looking for a night away from the typical bar scene.

Where do people like that go on a Saturday night?
They go to Rule Sixty Two.

How can I get involved?

Our existence is dependent on the love and support of our community. Whether you're looking to make a donation, volunteer your time and talents, or have other ideas of how we can expand our supportive reach, the first step is to reach out and get in touch!
